Early Pregnancy Symptoms: 10 Signs You May Be Pregnant

All the early signs of pregnancy could mimic one or other symptoms of other diseases. A pregnant woman could have one, two, or all of these symptoms and every woman is different when it comes to pregnancy experience.

So you cannot expect to experience the same pregnancy symptoms or even the same symptoms from one pregnancy to the other. Often, the symptoms of pregnancy might imitate the symptoms of menstruation before your menstrual period and the only way to be sure is through a pregnancy test.

You should also know that these symptoms may be caused by other conditions besides pregnancy. So far you noticed these symptoms do not necessarily mean you are pregnant until it is confirmed in a diagnostic unit.
Although there are early symptoms of pregnancy that may point to the possibility such as;

1. Cramping and Spotting


Immediately after conception, the fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus and in the process, there can be slight bleeding Spotting, and sometimes cramping which is similar to the menstrual cramp as well.
This is called implantation bleeding. It occurs anytime from 6- 12 days after the egg has been fertilized. In early pregnancy, the bleeding and the cramping is always mild.

2. Changes in the Vagina discharge

The increasing growth of the cell lining the vagina wall caused an increase in the discharge.
As a woman, you may notice a whitish, yellowish, or milkfish discharge from your vagina and it almost starts immediately after conception and continues throughout the pregnancy.
Most women need to take note of their types of discharge, it’s very necessary. If it is offensive, or experience burning or itching at the pubic region, notify your doctor to rule out yeast infection or bacterial infection on time.

3. Breast Changes


A woman’s hormone instantly changes after conception and the breast may become enlarged, sore, or tingly for weeks. At this time it could be heavier, full, and tender to touch even the areola around the nipple get darker at this period. It’s always a noticeable early signs of pregnancy by most women.
Other things could be factors for this breast change such as hormonal imbalance.

4. Fatigue/Tiredness


Getting very tired is always normal in early pregnancy and a woman can start experiencing this as early as a week after conception.
It’s caused by the hormonal changes in the body, especially an increase in the progesterone level and if this occurs, get enough rest, take iron, and protein-rich diet.

5 .Morning Sickness


Nausea or morning sickness is the most popular symptom of early signs of pregnancy, but not every woman gets it. The cause is unknown but it’s believed that pregnancy hormones cause it.
Some women can suffer morning sickness till after putting to bed and will need some medical help to sustain both the mother and the baby.

6. Craving

Some women crave or can’t stand certain food when they get pregnant. 
This is also caused by pregnancy-related hormones. The effect can be tough that the favorite food can turn to most hate food. It can last for the entire pregnancy and some get lessen after 3month of pregnancy.

7 Missed Period

What prompts most women to get a pregnancy test is a missed period. But
not all missed or delayed periods are caused by pregnancy. In the past many women attribute missed period as an early signs of pregnancy.

There are reasons besides pregnancy for a missing period. It might be as a result of gaining weight or losing weight, stress, hormonal problems, or certain medication that could also cause missed periods.

Some women missed their period when they start or stop taking birth control pills. But if a period is late, pregnancy is ruled out.

8. Frequent Urination

Pregnancy causes changes in your body hormones and for many women, you start visiting the toilet frequently than usual around the 6th-8th weeks after conception.
Although other factors such as urinary tract infection, using certain medications, and diabetes may also cause it.

9.Constipation

A higher level of the hormone progesterone can give you constipation. It causes the food passage to be slower in your intestine. To ease the problem, take plenty of water, eat plenty of high- fiber foods, and takes exercise

 

10 Headache

Many pregnant women complain of frequent mild headachesin eraly stage of pregnancy and this symptom subsides as the pregnancy advance and although,other condition could predispose to frequent headaches.
